Podcast: IEPM African Education

A Brief History of African Education.

As Educators and practitioners in the field of Education we spend a lot of time thinking about what is best for our learners. How do we teach? How do learners learn? How do we assess?

It’s been important for me to take charge of my learning while in graduate school.

One thing I have loved is demonstrating my learning a little differently from the classic research paper. I had the pleasure of taking International Education Policy and Management- Special topics in African Education with Jose Cossa. In collaboration with my colleagues, I got to make a podcast as our final product. I am so proud of this work. It was challenging- none of us had experience podcasting beyond listening, but we learnt how to use the equipment for our purposes, honed our interview skills and explored topics we were moved by.

It was a very engaging project. We synthesized and presented the knowledge we had gained while also bringing up thoughtful questions and taking those ideas even further.

I’d love for you to listen.
